Postia kohti pohjoista ja löytö

Sain vihdoin paketin postiin, joten ehdin vihdoin myös tänne päivittämään tilanteen. Siskolle on matkalla tumput ja myssy lämmikkeeksi. Kummatkin valmistuivat nopeasti, mutta jotain tossa myssyssä vaan on mikä tökkii.. Rakastan sitä mallikuviota mutta nuo päälaen kavennukset on liian nopeat, en vaan äkkiä keksinyt miten niitä muuttais että sais tuon kuvion säilymään ehjänä.

I Finally got the package mailed and therefore have finally time to update everything in here. Mittens and a hat are on their way to my sister. Both were fast knits, but there's something in that hat I don't exactly love.. I love the stitch pattern but the decreses at the top are too sudden - I just couldn't figure out how to change those and still keep the stitch pattern's continuity.

Tein myös viikonloppuna todellisen löydön kirpparilta. Novitan Floricaa vyyhtitavarana (ilmeisestikin ihan vuosikertakamaa).. Nappasin mukaan vain kummatkin 100 g:n kanervanväriset vyyhdit (tuo kuva taas valehtelee, väri ei ole noin tumma eikä noin violetti) ja jätin sinne vielä muutaman sellaisen ihme sammalen/jäkälänvihreän vyyhdin. Olisin ottanut nekin muttakun se väri oli todella hailakka, ei mistään kotoisin mun mielestä.

Last weekend I scored a magnificent deal at flea market. There was Novita Florica in skeins, not balls (apparently old stuff).. I grabbed both 100g skeins in heather (the pic lies, the color isn't that dark or that purple) and left there a couple of odd moss green skeins. I would have taken them also but the color was so light and an odd shade at that that I passed.
